COMMUNITY EVENT - CONE WITH A COP

On Thursday July 7th, 2022; the LaMott Fire Company hosted a community event in partnership w/ the Cheltenham Township Police Department.

During the event, members of the community got the chance to meet and interact with the brave men and women of the Police Department as well as volunteers of the Fire Company.

No Caption VEHICLE FIRE - CHELTENHAM AVE & ANDREWS AVE

On Wednesday, July 6th at approximately 6:57 AM, Engine 2 and Engine 3 were dispatched to a vehicle fire on Cheltenham Ave & Andrews Ave.

CH3 arrived on scene to one fully involved sedan.

Engine 2 arrived and crews promptly extinguished the fire. Engine 3 arrived shortly thereafter and assisted w/ suppression initiatives.

VEHICLE ACCIDENT RESCUE - CHELTENHAM AVE & BROAD ST

On Saturday December 18th at approximately 12:31AM, E2, SQ4 & R82 were dispatched to reports of a vehicle accident with entrapment at the intersection of Cheltenham Ave & Broad St.

Upon arrival; Chief 2 & Chief 4 surveyed the scene and determined PFD was committed to completing the rescue with no assistance from the county. Chief 2 recalled SQ4 & R82 and Ladder 29 and Squad 72 worked for almost 30 ... (Full Story & Photos)

No Caption VEHICLE FIRE - LYNNEWOOD GARDENS APARTMENTS (COMPOUND 14 & WILLIAMS WAY)

Lieutenant Tidjani Sylla, December 14

On Tuesday December 14th at approx 10:28PM, E2 & E3 were dispatched to a reported vehicle fire in Lynnewood Gardens Apartments' Compound 14 parking lot.

Chief 2 (CH2) & Engine 2 (E2) arrived on scene to a fully engulfed vehicle engine compartment. Crews immediately went in service and were able to quickly control and extinguish the fire.

A total of 3 cars were damaged due to the fire.

VEHICLE ACCIDENT STAND-BY - CHELTENHAM AVE & CEDAR LN

Lieutenant Tidjani Sylla, December 14

On Tuesday December 14th at approx 9:52AM, E2 and SQ4 were dispatched to a vehicle accident in the area of Cheltenham Ave & Penrose Ave (later confirmed to be Cheltenham Ave & Cedar Ln).

Upon arrival, it was determined that no rescue was needed as the driver had successfully self extricated. E2 crew worked on securing the vehicle's battery and performed minor hazard control.

No Caption Member Highlight - FF Doug Tedeschi & FF Julian Turner complete Firefighter 1 Certification

Please join us in congratulating firefighters Doug Tedeschi and Julian Turner on successfully completing their national Firefighter One (NFPA 1001) certification training. These members are now officially certified to serve the residents of Cheltenham Township and beyond at fires and other incidents.

BUILDING FIRE COMMERCIAL - BURLINGTON COAT FACTORY

On Monday November 29th at approx 12:26PM, E2 along w/ E1, E4, QT3, SN82, & QT16 were dispatched to a reported trash compactor fire located to the rear of the Burlington Coat Factory at the Greenleaf at Cheltenham shopping center.
